- Drawings, Paintings, and Blatherings by James Pezzetti
About Art
+Think of imagery as a propietary language, generated by the artist and reinvented by the viewer. +Think of a painting as an unmeasured electron; a cloud of probabilities, rather than a single particle with a single location and velocity. +The viewer observes the painting, and 'collapses' the probabilities into a painting with a meaning for her- or himself. +My task is to create the 'uncollapsed' electron, the cloud of possibilities.-

About
Hi, I’m James Pezzetti. I graduated with honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA in 1998. I’ve done a little freelance editorial illustration, hung in a few galleries, and done some advertising illustration since then, but mostly make my living working in a little print shop in Salem, Oregon. I seem to prefer drawing and painting to please myself, rather than a client. It’s not the best way to make money, but it’s a damn good way to stay happy.
I also have been learning to play, repair, maintain and build guitars since I turned 30. So not only will you find my artwork, but you might find a word or picture or two about my second hobby here.
I hope you enjoy what you see here. But please enjoy responsibly. If you save, reblog or tumble any of my images, make sure you give me credit, and please include a link back to this site. If you want to use any images for commercial purposes, or want to commision or buy an artwork, please use the form provided on my contact page, and I’ll see if we can’t make a deal. Thanks!
